THURSDAY, MAY 31ST! • BE SURE TO TELL YOUR FAMILY & FRIENDS TO VOTE ON MAY 31ST FROM 2PM-6PM AT
THE CITY OF MORGAN HILL COMMUNITY & CULTURAL CENTER.
THIS YEAR’S THEME:
“REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT!”
Carbon Dioxide emissions harm our environment and contribute to global warming.
Reduce your “carbon footprint” by conserving resources and decreasing pollution.
THE FAME: Design a poster and help promote environmental awareness.
THE FORTUNE: FIRST PLACE WINNERS RECEIVE $100!
THE DEADLINE: MAY 18, 2012, 5PM
THE RULES: Use your creativity to design a poster no larger than 11” x 17”
Design your poster with a message promoting “Reduce your Carbon Footprint!” which might
include tips on reducing carbon emissions, conserving water, recycling or not polluting our
air–among other ideas. • Use whatever media (materials) you want - even 3D Posters count!
How about “POP UP” art? Be creative! Make sure artwork is dry. • Computer art must be original
(no “clip art.”) • Open to all Morgan Hill K-12 students. • On the back of your entry, please
write your name / phone number / address / age / school name / teacher and grade. •
Submissions are judged in age groups as follows: K-3rd, 4th-8th, 9th-12th and are ranked
1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention(s). • All winners receive a certificate signed by
the Mayor of Morgan Hill. • Entries are held at the City Corporation Yard and you
may pick up non-winning entries between June 4 and June 8.
Submit entry to: 100 Edes Ct. Morgan Hill, CA 95037. Attn: Poster Contest, by May 18, 2012, 5PM. All winning entries become the
