In ancient Asian cultures a scholar was expected to learn
the Four Great Accomplishments: music, calligraphy,
painting and Go. Without these, an education was not
complete.
The 2nd International Children’s Go Art Contest is a cultural
and art event organized in partnership by the Mexican Youth
Go Community and the American Go Association in honor
of the International Go Symposium. The contest features
children’s artworks where they will be free to express their
vision, emotions and ideas about Go through painting. Its
purpose is to make Go culture flourish among children, and
promote it through a creative exchange.
